The New Zealand Fieldays held at Mystery Creek near Hamilton in the North Island has over the last fifty years underlined its intent as a major local and international event showcasing agricultural machinery and related products and services.
It is the iconic annual event over four days where Australasian and International businesses present their products to an always well attended audience from the local rural agricultural, horticultural, viticultural and lifestyle sectors.
Silvan New Zealand has been a long-standing exhibitor and this year we filled our large 380 sqm display site with an impressive product presentation. Foremost was Silvan sprayer equipment of all sizes and purposes, a large presentation of Nobili mulchers and an array of Selecta merchandise including the market leading Selecta diesel range. Silvan New Zealand’s Product Manager Dean Cocks says that as usual visitor numbers to the Silvan stand were strong with a number of orders resulting from the traditional ‘Fieldays price saving discount markings’.
But Dean Cocks adds that he has a strong hand of product enquiries for immediate follow up.
“The refreshing change this year was that there was increased interest in new spraying solutions with interest from the horticultural sector being strongest for some years.
“I fielded enquiries and provided information on Silvan product ranges which are uniquely suited to the horticultural sectors with enquiries from producers of berries, avocados and kiwi fruit.
“in total I’d say we had almost twice the volume of relevant enquiries that we received last year’.
Dean whose product responsibility includes both the North and South Islands, operates from the Silvan New Zealand office and warehouse at 22 Sunshine Avenue Te Rapa Hamilton 3241.
